Michelle trained as a pupil at Joseph Tan Jude Benny, before she was called to the Bar in May 2005. Despite being told that women should not do shipping work, she remains undaunted and continues her practice with the firm’s Shipping and Admiralty Law Team.
Michelle’s practice areas are in Shipping and Admiralty litigation matters involving cargo claims, collisions, laytime and demurrage claims, bunker claims and claims for charter hire. She has also dealt with marine insurance issues, the enforcement of foreign arbitration awards, ship sale and purchase agreements and shipbuilding contracts. Her other practice areas include general commercial and civil matters, such as shareholder disputes and employment law issues. |
