After graduating
from the National University of Singapore with a
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Sivarajan
proceeded to complete his LLB at the University of
Nottingham, graduating with Upper 2nd
Class Honours. Upon being called to the Singapore
Bar in 2009, he joined JTJB LLP as a Legal
Associate.
Sivarajan’s work includes commercial and civil
litigation with an emphasis on Shipping and
Admiralty work across the range of the firm’s
Shipping Practice, which includes and is not
restricted to:

Charterparty and bill of lading disputes
> Cargo
claims
> Laytime
and demurrage claims
>
Marine
Insurance disputes
In addition, he has also assisted in litigation
before the High Court of Singapore on commercial
leases, contractual obligations and employment
law, as well as insolvency and company law
matters.
Prior to joining JTJB LLP, Sivarajan was part of
one of the largest corporate firms in Singapore.
During his time there, he assisted in various
corporate and commercial transactions, including
regulatory aspects in banking, finance and capital
markets work, as well as drafting and reviewing
commercial contracts.
Lastly, Sivarajan also completed his National
Service with the Republic of Singapore Navy,
onboard a vessel as part of the navigation
department.
